The Sea, a Conversation is a dialogue with and about the sea. Through a string telephone made from seashells, the work moves between memories, holidays, childhood, friendships, and personal anecdotes. The sea appears both frightening, bottomless, and dark, but also calming, comforting, and bright.

The work is rooted in two different relationships with the sea: the Kattegat and the Pacific Ocean on one side, and the Øresund on the other. The sea thus becomes both a place that separates and connects, and a space for shared memories, imaginings, and stories.
