Fruitful Relations is a participatory installation primarily aimed at children and playful audiences. The project explores how we relate to one another, to our surroundings, and to the world, focusing on the role of play, imagination, and material exploration in creating meaningful relationships.

The installation creates a utopian universe of tactile textile sculptures that can be touched, played with, and worn. Made from textiles and recycled materials, the works explore sustainability and how our encounters with materials can shape children’s understanding of the non-human world.

The sculptures draw on fruit, natural forms, childhood imagination, and the artist’s Scandinavian and Polynesian heritage, with references to Elsa Beskow’s The Tomten Children, Polynesian mythology, and nature.
